Holdings from the City Center Stacks Are Available for Requests Again

The relevant items are marked in the catalog with „Location: Außenmagazin, UB Stadtmitte“.

Items from the external stacks will be made available for you at both locations, City Center and Vaihingen, as follows: 

• Requests Monday through Thursday before 12 p.m.: items will be available on the following[CM1.1] day from approx. 1 p.m.
• Requests Thursday after 12 p.m. through Monday before 12 p.m.: items will be available on Tuesday from approx. 1 p.m.

Please understand that we cannot run the external stacks daily which leads to delays in making items available, particularly from Thursday afternoon and during the weekend. 

Please check the status of your requested items in your library account before visiting the University of Stuttgart Library.

If you would like to be notified of the actual pickup time, please enter an email address in your library account and select „Yes“ for the „Notification for provided items“ option during the request process.

The relocation of the holdings to external stacks was carried out due to University Library’s interim operations at the City Center location and in preparation for a complete renovation of the building.
