Important note on text and data mining on the information platforms of the UB

March 12, 2021 / kr

Automated procedures for downloading full texts or search results of publishers' offers requiring a license are not permitted by law!

We would like to point out that an automated download of full texts or search results of publishers' offers requiring a license is not permitted. Also, distribution to third parties is not permitted, neither electronically nor in printed form (https://www.ub.uni-stuttgart.de/en/search-borrow/e-resources/zugang-zu-elektronischen-ressourcen-der-ub-stuttgart/). Such a procedure is regularly prohibited in the license agreements between the university and the providers and is a violation of § 2 paragraph 2 letters a), i) and j) of the usage regulations for digital information processing and communication technology (IuK) at the University of Stuttgart dated December 18, 2006 as well as § 23 of the usage regulations for the University Library of Stuttgart dated December 21, 2004 (with consideration of the amendment statutes dated June 1, 2006 and June 22, 2007).

If you wish to engage in copyright-permitted text and data mining (§ 60d UrhG) as part of a research project, we ask that you first contact the University Library (contact: Marcel Thoms, e-ressourcen@ub.uni-stuttgart.de) before accessing the platforms of individual providers.
