Royal Society of Chemistry e-books from the 2010 to 2024 collections available

March 7, 2025 / wia / tos / UB

A new license agreement extends the range of already accessible e-books from 1968 to 2009 by a further 15 years. More recent RSC titles from the fields of chemistry, materials science, molecular biology, polymers and chemical engineering will now also be accessible until the end of the year.

Stuttgart University Library (UB) has opted for an evidence-based selection service (EBS service) from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). The idea behind this is that permanent licensing is based on user demand. In concrete terms, this means that you will have temporary access to the entire e-book collections from 2010 to 2024 until December 31, 2025. After this license phase, the usage statistics will be evaluated at the beginning of 2026 and around 25 of the most frequently used e-books will be permanently transferred to the holdings of Stuttgart University Library.

The e-books from 1968 to 2009 are already available via a national license and institutional access. Now you can also access the current e-books for publication years up to 2024 and browse them on the Royal Society of Chemistry website.
