Both locations of the University of Stuttgart Library (City Center and Vaihingen) belong to the Environmental Zone of Stuttgart (Information on the Environmental Zone). If necessary, please take this into account for your journey.
It is best if you start from the main station.
Turn at Kriegsbergstraße (directon of Katharinenhospital and Lindenmuseum).
Cross Keplerstraße and get into the left lane.
Turn around before the next intersection (turn lane).
The building of the University Library with the delivery entrance is on the right.
Approx. 50 meters further on, before the gas station, there is the entrance to a public parking garage.

From the airport to the main station:
It is best to use public transportation to get from the airport to the city. The S-Bahn station is located directly under the airport, sign-posted S.
Choose the direction of the main station (“Hauptbahnhof”). Buy a ticket for 2 zones at one of the ticket vending machines and validate it. Travel to the station “Hauptbahnhof”. From here you can use other public transportation (VVS).
Accessible
An accessible journey with public transportation is possible via: Train stop Börsenplatz (city railway lines U29, U14, U11) > exit Friedrichsbau > Stadtgarten.

From the main station (Hauptbahnhof) to the University Library Vaihingen
From Stuttgart main station, take one of the S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3 to the destination stop "Universität" (= fourth stop after main station, travel time approx. 10 min.). The directions Böblingen, Herrenberg, Filderstadt, Airport or Vaihingen are all equally correct.
Take the exit "Universitätszentrum" here. Go up two (escalator) staircases, then take the small staircase straight ahead. Turn right and after about 30 meters you will find the main entrance of the University Library (revolving doors) on the left side.
By Car

Leave the freeway A8 (Munich-Karlsruhe) at the junction Stuttgart-Vaihingen in the direction of Stuttgart. The second exit, Universität, leads to the university campus.
