On 3 and 4 April 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting the annual network meeting of the Coordination Office for Scientific University Collections in Germany at the University of Stuttgart. The Coordination Centre supports universities and higher education institutions in making their scientific collections visible, accessible and usable as resources for research, teaching and transfer, in maintaining them or developing them accordingly. To this end, it organises an annual meeting of the universities' central collection managers.
In addition to the working meeting, the programme offered space to get to know the collections on site and thus brought the Stuttgart collection landscape, which in many cases has unique collections, into the public eye for the first time.
