University and research history to read up.

Stuttgarter Uni-Kurier

The Stuttgarter Uni-Kurier was the news organ of the University of Stuttgart for 32 years. It was published in 110 issues from 1980 to 2012.

All issues from 1980 to 1996 were scanned and recorded using automatic text recognition (OCR). You can therefore search the newspaper in full text for important reports on university and research history. Many of the topics we are discussing today were already on people's minds back then and are surprisingly topical.

Digitization service of the University Library

The University Library offers its support to institutes and facilities if historical research data - for example in third-party funded projects - is to be made accessible online.

For this purpose, there is a digitization studio in the Vaihingen University Library, a scanning room in the city center and the possibility of temporarily setting up a small pop-up photo studio in an institute room. The library also has a data management system to store digitized material with metadata in standardized formats and present it online.

Please do not hesitate to contact us.
